Pillars believes that strong leaders and institutions are key to creating a world where American Muslims can live and thrive with dignity. Through our competitive grantmaking process, Pillars invests in some of our country’s most important civic organizations working in and alongside American Muslim communities.
Since 2010, Pillars has invested more than $4 million in challenging religious and racial discrimination, creating space for us to tell our own stories, and protecting and expanding the rights of all people.
The Pillars Board of Trustees awards grants annually. To be considered for the 2018-19 grant cycle, all organizations should submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) by July 19, 2019. Then, select applicants will be invited to submit a full application in Fall 2019.
Current Grantees should contact Pillars staff at email@example.com for instructions on how to reapply.
Step One: Before you submit a Letter of Inquiry, please read our Grantmaking Overview to learn more about our grantmaking focus areas and eligibility guidelines.
Step Two: Fill out the 2019-20 Pillars Letter of Inquiry form. Pillars staff will review each LOI, and responses will go out in September 2019.
